The Role
We are on the lookout for a seasoned and results-driven Global Payroll Operations Lead. In this pivotal role, you will architect, enhance, and shape the future of payroll operations on a global scale within a rapidly expanding international tech organization.
As we aim for our next strategic milestone, it is essential that our internal systems operate seamlessly. Your responsibilities will extend beyond managing payroll; you will be instrumental in developing a top-tier global function that supports our talent across more than 17 countries, ensuring our journey is anchored in operational excellence and a sustainable legacy.
What You'll Do
Payroll Strategy + Velocity
You will craft the vision and operational roadmap for global payroll, championing an AI-First Execution philosophy—automating any process that can be automated. Your role transitions from execution to owning the strategy that supports our international expansion and ambitious business goals.
- Own Payroll Strategy: Define the overarching vision and roadmap across our global entities, ensuring readiness for our next milestone concerning compliance and scalability.
- Manage Regional Operations: Supervise timely, accurate, and compliant payroll for our four primary European entities as well as smaller global countries through local vendors.
- System and Process Evolution: Evaluate existing vendor partnerships and workflows to enhance, automate, and streamline our approach.
Global Transformation & Think Sideways Innovation
At Aiven, we embrace lateral thinking to tackle complex challenges. You will drive improvements through a comprehensive review to identify risks and implement globally consistent, yet locally relevant, processes.
- Global Process Optimization: Discern where universally applicable policies are beneficial and where local nuances should be prioritized.
- Accounting Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting team to ensure general ledger and monthly reporting are precise, efficient, and insightful.
- Automation & Documentation: Develop standardized, user-friendly standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process maps.
