Role:
As a Global Site Engineer at Northwood, you will play a pivotal role in the establishment of a global network of ground stations. You will be a technical authority, field operator, and project builder. Your responsibilities will encompass hardware development, site selection, and the construction of ground stations—from initial design to live satellite operations. Collaborate closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure the success of our ambitious projects. This position is based at our headquarters in Los Angeles and will require frequent travel to various sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Construction: Lead the deployment of antennas, power systems, racks, and infrastructure at various Northwood locations worldwide. You will be at the forefront of these projects.
Hardware Design and Development: Spearhead the design, production, and testing of innovative electrical and mechanical ground support equipment.
Site Engineering: Develop site architecture, hardware designs, and operational processes focusing on enhancing deployment efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Operational Oversight: Manage live operations, monitor system performance, and resolve issues to ensure optimal functionality of our ground stations.
Partnership Management: Work collaboratively with both domestic and international partners, contractors, and network providers to facilitate deployments and enhance service delivery.
