About the job
- Utilize advanced 2D/3D design tools to create and enhance wiring systems while collaborating with external service providers and internal teams.
- Engage in the development of wiring systems through various phases of project execution.
- Define and manage work packages, coordinating efforts between internal and external partners.
- Assess product change requests and deliver innovative solutions with a strong focus on Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE).
- Gather CAD data from clients and efficiently disseminate it to relevant internal stakeholders based on the need-to-know principle.
- Oversee modifications, maintain control of project status, and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency enhancements, such as Design for Manufacturing and Design to Cost strategies.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to quality assurance and design initiatives (DFMEA, Design for Manufacturing, etc.).
- Work on-site at LEONI or at customer locations as necessary.
- Analyze and adhere to various requirements from customers, LEONI, IATF, and other industry standards.
- Generate production documentation, including bills of materials, cutting lists, and wiring charts.
- Serve as a key contact for both internal teams and external partners, including customers and suppliers.
- Experience with PTC Creo Cabling and Mentor Graphics HarnessXC is preferred.
