About the job
As the Head of Waste Management, you will assume overall responsibility for the legally compliant and economical disposal of all waste streams generated in clinical operations, while also steering ecological sustainability efforts.
Your Responsibilities:
- Waste Management Concept - You will oversee the implementation and further development of the waste management concept in compliance with the five-tier waste hierarchy as outlined in § 6 KrWG (prevention before disposal).
- Operational Officer - You will fulfill the role of Operational Officer for waste according to § 59 KrWG.
- Monitoring - You will monitor the entire journey of waste from its origin (e.g., operating rooms, wards, laboratories) to its final recovery.
- Professional Training - You will be responsible for the professional training of clinical staff in the proper separation and handling of hazardous waste (e.g., infectious materials, cytostatics).
- Waste Report - You will prepare the annual waste report for management and liaise with authorities.
