About the job
The Apprentice Teacher role offers an exceptional chance for motivated individuals with minimal or no teaching background to delve into the education sector while acquiring practical experience and essential training to evolve into a proficient full-time classroom teacher. Apprentice Teachers will have the privilege to observe exemplary teaching practices and innovative educational reforms from seasoned educators and school administrators at a premier charter management organization in New York City. They will learn from Master Teachers, co-teach with teacher-leaders, provide substitute teaching assistance, and support teachers through tutoring, grading, and individualized student instruction. Depending on the school's requirements and the candidate's experience, Apprentice Teachers may also handle their own classes, facilitating direct teaching exposure with a manageable load.
