Join Brightspeed as a Customer Service Technician and become an integral part of our team! In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-speed internet, video, and voice networks, including all associated wiring and equipment. You will also oversee the maintenance and repair of outside plant facilities within your designated service areas. This essential position may require you to adapt to varying shifts, including mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-speed internet, video, and voice networks along with their wiring and equipment
- Performing maintenance and repair tasks on outside plant facilities
- Executing tasks such as climbing poles, digging with a shovel and pick, and working in utility access holes or controlled environmental vaults (CEVs) while locating buried telephone cables
- Adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
- Assisting fellow technical personnel in their duties as needed
- Actively contributing to sales and marketing initiatives
- Managing customer-facing tasks and directing sales referrals
