Your Role
The Branch Director – Hospice serves as the operational and clinical leader of the branch, responsible for the overall performance, quality, compliance, and growth of hospice services. This leader oversees the complete branch ecosystem, which includes personnel, patients, outcomes, and financial health, ensuring a compliant, high-performing, and engaged team aligned with our core values: trustworthiness, capability, compassion, proactivity, and purpose-driven service.
This hands-on leadership position requires strong clinical judgment, business sense, and the ability to guide others in delivering consistent, high-quality patient care and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Leadership & Operations
- Direct all daily hospice operations, ensuring effective coordination among clinical, operational, and sales teams.
- Formulate and implement strategic plans to enhance census growth, operational efficiency, and market presence.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture that prioritizes accountability, engagement, and retention.
- Collaborate with regional and executive leadership to align branch strategies with organizational objectives.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and initiate improvements.
Clinical Oversight & Quality
- Supervise all patient care services, ensuring the provision of safe, high-quality, patient-centered hospice care.
- Guarantee compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards (maintaining ACHC readiness at all times).
- Provide clinical guidance and leadership to Clinical Care Managers (CCMs) and clinical teams.
- Oversee care planning, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives and proactively address service or care concerns.
People Leadership & Development
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain top clinical and operational talent.
- Establish clear expectations surrounding performance, productivity, and outcomes.
- Conduct performance evaluations and deliver ongoing coaching and feedback.
