Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and enhance Northwood’s essential people operations, with a specific emphasis on HRIS administration and employee benefits management. This pivotal role will serve as a strategic partner to the People team and the wider organization, ensuring the integrity of our systems, adherence to compliance standards, and a superior employee experience as we expand.
You will manage our HR systems and benefits programs daily, guiding our transition from Gusto to Rippling, and act as a trusted resource for employees and managers regarding all people operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily administration of Northwood’s HRIS, ensuring accuracy in employee lifecycle changes, data integrity, reporting, and compliance audits during our transition from Gusto to Rippling.
Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, and others, while managing open enrollment, renewals, and employee inquiries.
Collaborate on the implementation, configuration, and continuous enhancement of Rippling throughout the HRIS transition and beyond.
Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, policies, and HR systems.
Ensure all HR processes and data align with federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
Facilitate the annual performance and compensation review process, including coordinating timelines, preparing communications for managers and employees, maintaining tracking tools, and supporting managers and HR partners throughout the review cycle.
Assist with broader People initiatives, such as onboarding/offboarding, policy updates, and process documentation as the organization scales.
Qualifications:
5-7+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, People Operations, or similar role.
Proven hands-on experience in administering HRIS and managing employee benefits programs.
Familiarity with HR platforms such as Gusto and Rippling, with a track record of successful transitions.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
