SGS is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Officer to foster a positive workplace culture and cultivate a skilled workforce. This role involves collaborating with line managers to ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal standards while enhancing workforce capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and processing employment contracts, and managing employee changes such as promotions, transfers, and terminations within HR systems.
- Regularly reviewing and updating HR documentation including engagement packs and employment contracts.
- Timely compilation and submission of salary advance requests for financial processing.
- Participating in disciplinary hearings, documenting proceedings thoroughly.
- Overseeing the medical scheme and managing invoice processing from healthcare providers.
- Accurate compilation and management of employee timesheets.
- Driving HR strategy development, setting goals, and ensuring successful implementation.
- Identifying areas for improvement in HR policies, systems, and procedures.
- Facilitating adherence to HR policies and relevant legislation.
- Supporting talent management and succession planning initiatives.
- Advising on employee relations matters and fostering a performance management culture.
- Proactively identifying potential HR risks within SGS.
Administrative Duties:
- Managing reception duties, including greeting clients and coordinating communication across departments.
- Coordinating the renewal of various annual trade certificates.
- Ensuring efficient record-keeping and documentation management.
- Facilitating inter-site document courier services.
- Maintaining service records of company vehicles and ensuring timely servicing.
- Compiling purchase requisitions and maintaining inventory records.
- Arranging travel logistics for staff, including visa applications and travel bookings.
- Collaborating with IT to maintain HR equipment.
- Supervising cleaning staff and managing office upkeep.
- Executing ad-hoc projects and other assigned tasks as necessary.
- Adhering to SGS quality and safety standards.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by the direct line manager.
