About the Role:
Pavago is looking for a dedicated Human Resources Specialist to oversee essential HR processes and facilitate seamless employee lifecycle management. This pivotal role encompasses recruitment assistance, onboarding, HRIS data management, compliance, payroll coordination, and employee relations. The HR Specialist is responsible for ensuring employee support, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the organization adheres to labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support:
- Advertise job openings on various job boards and career websites.
- Evaluate resumes and assist recruiters in arranging interviews.
- Maintain communication with candidates throughout the early stages of hiring.
Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Draft offer letters, prepare new hire packets, and coordinate orientation schedules.
- Ensure completion of compliance documentation (I-9, E-Verify, tax forms, direct deposit).
- Manage exit processes, including equipment retrieval, system access removal, and conducting exit interviews.
Employee Records & HRIS:
- Ensure accurate employee data management within HRIS (e.g., BambooHR, ADP, Gusto, Zenefits).
- Monitor PTO, benefits enrollment, and changes in employee status.
- Generate HR reports related to headcount, turnover, and compliance.
Payroll & Benefits Support:
- Collaborate with finance and payroll teams to reconcile hours, benefits, and deductions.
- Assist with benefit enrollment and address employee inquiries.
- Validate payroll data prior to processing.
Policy & Compliance:
- Create and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with labor laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEOC) and multi-state regulations.
- Keep records audit-ready for external reviews.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the primary contact for employee questions and concerns.
- Support performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives.
- Document and escalate sensitive issues to HR leadership.
Training & Development Support:
- Organize employee training sessions and compliance certifications.
- Track completion of required training and development milestones.
