About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HW Logistics Coordinator ready to establish a global logistics framework from the ground up. As a dynamic startup, our logistics operations are currently in a state of flux, resembling a 'wild west.' We need a visionary who can create comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and take complete ownership of our logistics processes, ensuring the seamless movement of our critical components and personnel worldwide.
If you thrive in chaos, are exceptionally organized, and are eager to bring structure to our logistics, come equipped with your toolbox and help us build something extraordinary.
Responsibilities:
Design the Global Playbook: Create a scalable, efficient system for tracking the movement of parts across our four global locations: Camas, Bellevue, San Francisco, and Asia.
Oversee Heavy Freight & Shipping: Manage the entire lifecycle of complex shipments, collaborating with major carriers (DHL, FedEx) to transport delicate and large equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure International Customs Compliance: Navigate the complexities of global shipping, ensuring high-value equipment (e.g., $250,000 prototypes) is properly valued and tracked to avoid international bottlenecks.
Coordinate Group Travel: Serve as the logistical backbone for the Hardware Operations team, handling travel arrangements for groups, including flights, accommodations, and local logistics for over 12 engineers during prototyping sprints in locations such as Asia.
Collaborate and Innovate: Partner with operations and hardware leadership to enhance processes and ensure seamless execution across the team.
Required Qualifications:
Logistics Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience with major shipping companies, freight forwarders, and international customs is essential.
