At Panelmatic, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our dynamic team in Conroe, Texas. As an Industrial Painter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of our metal products by applying various coatings and finishes. Key Responsibilities:
- Immerse parts in cleaning solutions or wash surfaces to eliminate grease, rust, scale, and dirt.
- Set up and operate painting equipment to apply lacquer, paint, varnish, enamel, oil, or rustproofing materials on metal products.
- Prepare surfaces for painting and utilize tools such as brushes, spray guns, sanders, and rollers effectively.
- Mix paints and chemicals, controlling viscosity and ensuring proper mixture for optimal application.
- Evaluate the flow and viscosity of paints visually or with a viscometer to ensure quality coatings.
- Operate spray guns, adjusting air pressure and directing sprays to achieve the desired finish.
- Verify paint colors against building prints and designs to ensure accuracy.
- Strip, sand, mask, and repaint surfaces, blending and polishing finishes to match surrounding areas, both manually and with power tools.
- Apply spray foam insulation and undercoating as needed in buildings.
- Install windows, door panes, handles, drains, and other accessories as required.
- Utilize a full-face ventilation mask for extended periods when necessary.
- Spray specified amounts or thickness of primer, protective, decorative, or finish coatings onto prepared surfaces using spray equipment.
- Utilize lifting and moving devices as needed to transport materials and access required areas for painting.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and withstand extreme temperatures for extended periods.
