As an Industrial Systems Design Engineer at Segula Technologies, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and validating the operational capacity and performance of the Kinston plant's industrial systems. Your expertise will help us identify essential solutions for capacity enhancement and overall performance improvement. Collaborating with the OMFZ Industrial Architect, you will ensure that proposed solutions align with strategic investment requirements and performance goals.
Your primary responsibilities will encompass:
- Assessing Current Industrial Systems: Conducting detailed analyses of as-is value stream models, including value stream analysis (VSA), lean design guidelines maturity assessments, and resilience evaluations.
- Capacity Assessments: Evaluating current industrial capacities through macro PERT and critical path assessments, standard line balancing, and identifying strategies for capacity bridging.
- Future State Planning: Developing proposals for future state industrial VSA and capacity enhancements to facilitate capacity recovery and ramp-ups.
- Support Industrial Architecture: Assisting the Industrial Architect in prioritizing improvement initiatives and necessary investments based on your analyses.
- Iterative Review: Engaging in continuous feedback loops to refine assessments and proposals as needed.
Additional Responsibilities: Performing other duties as assigned, including contributions to system architecture and industrial requirements, accounting for 5% of your role.
