About the job
At Bellese, we are dedicated to transforming civic healthcare through innovative technology solutions. Our mission focuses on enhancing public health outcomes, and we are committed to understanding the intricate healthcare journeys of patients, caregivers, providers, payers, and policymakers.
Our approach is driven by service design principles that help us address the core 'Why' behind healthcare challenges. By designing and implementing solutions that clarify processes, support decision-making, and minimize confusion, we empower our partners to concentrate on providing enhanced patient care while reducing costs and administrative burdens.
Join Our Dynamic Team:
As the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), you will oversee two crucial teams, QMARS and HQR.
QMARS:
Your role will involve maintaining and enhancing software systems used by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to support the Quality Management and Review Systems (QMARS) program. QMARS facilitates case management for the CMS Beneficiary and Family-Centered Care (BFCC) Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) program, one of the largest federal initiatives aimed at improving healthcare quality for Medicare beneficiaries nationwide. Our team is committed to modernizing these systems to lessen provider burdens and reduce costs for CMS through Human-Centered Design (HCD), service design methodologies, and innovative engineering practices.
HQR:
You will also support the Hospital Quality Reporting program at CMS, which enables thousands of hospitals to submit quality measurement data reflecting the care provided to beneficiaries. As with QMARS, our focus will be on modernizing these systems to alleviate provider burdens and minimize costs, utilizing HCD, service design, and skilled engineering to empower healthcare providers in improving patient care quality and safety.
The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will implement a value-driven approach to security, prioritizing proactive engagement over audits and compliance checks. Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams, the ISSO will integrate security measures early in the development lifecycle, conducting proactive risk assessments and deploying countermeasures as necessary.
