Job Purpose: The Instrumental/Electrical Engineer plays a vital role in the design, installation, and maintenance of electronic systems and components. This position offers professional and technical support to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating the growth and development of technicians through structured training and coaching sessions.
- Crafting and updating training materials for Instrumentation and Electrical Technicians and other team members within the Division.
- Executing an inspection program that includes all necessary regulatory and safety inspections.
- Creating and implementing efficient preventative maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
- Coordinating projects within the Division, which encompasses scope development, contract planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and budget management.
- Setting clear objectives for the Division's Instrumentation and Electrical initiatives to ensure alignment with the goals of the Division, Terminals and Pipelines, and Midstream sectors.
- Providing expertise and participating in operational safety audits, design hazard reviews, and process hazard analyses.
- Reviewing and maintaining Management of Change documentation and procedures.
- Assisting in the formulation of cause and effect documentation for control systems software development.
- Promoting standardization in instrumentation, electrical technology, and practices.
- Supporting incident investigations to identify areas for improvement and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant DOT, EPA, National Electrical Code (NEC), state regulations, and OSHA standards, along with safety and environmental policies.
- Assisting management in the development and maintenance of the Division’s annual project budget and long-term planning.
