ABOUT THE ROLE
This internship offers students the chance to collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team, under the guidance of experienced project leaders.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support the design team through various project phases such as Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration, under the direct supervision of the Interior Design leader.
- Assist with the selection and documentation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) throughout all stages of the interior design process.
- Contribute to the design development and documentation of interior spaces, which may include creating floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and detailing room finishes.
- Conduct research as instructed for product and finish selections, and help develop finish plans and specifications.
- Prepare computer-generated renderings and presentation materials.
- Produce drawings and provide support functions as directed, ensuring compliance with project timelines, costs, and quality standards.
- Adhere to CannonDesign drawing standards.
- In some offices, maintain the Interior Design library by organizing and updating materials as necessary.
- Order samples and materials from vendors as needed.
- Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, which may require physical walkthroughs.
- Perform additional duties as required.
