ABOUT THE ROLE
This internship offers students the chance to collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team, under the guidance of experienced project leaders.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support the design team through various project phases such as Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration, under the direct supervision of the Interior Design leader.
Assist with the selection and documentation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) throughout all stages of the interior design process.
Contribute to the design development and documentation of interior spaces, which may include creating floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and detailing room finishes.
Conduct research as instructed for product and finish selections, and help develop finish plans and specifications.
Prepare computer-generated renderings and presentation materials.
Produce drawings and provide support functions as directed, ensuring compliance with project timelines, costs, and quality standards.
Adhere to CannonDesign drawing standards.
In some offices, maintain the Interior Design library by organizing and updating materials as necessary.
Order samples and materials from vendors as needed.
Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, which may require physical walkthroughs.
Perform additional duties as required.
