Join ec-electric as an Intermediate BIM Modeler, where you will play a crucial role in our production team. This position is designed for individuals who possess a solid understanding of BIM modeling and are ready to contribute to both project delivery and adherence to our established standards. You will be responsible for crafting detailed drawings and may function as a detailer under the guidance of your supervisor. Proficiency in Autodesk NavisWorks, Autodesk Design Review, and a foundational knowledge of 3D layout and design will be critical to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Input marked-up drawings into Revit, ensuring compliance with EC Standards.
- Establish Revit views for the EC Project team and manage electronic document filing.
- Assist in preparing document sets for distribution to stakeholders.
- Download and manage project documents from various online platforms such as SharePoint and FTP.
- Document and archive work in alignment with EC standards, safeguarding confidentiality and proprietary information.
- Create Revit work sets and facilitate the work-sharing process.
- Translate verbal and written directions into precise design documents.
- Utilize advanced modeling applications including manipulation of Revit families and schedules.
- Coordinate 3D modeling efforts with other trades and field teams to produce accurate layout drawings.
- Lead or collaborate with teams to laser scan existing structures and create 3D object models.
- Engage in job layouts informed by 3D model data, using equipment like Total Station for verification.
- Manage the transmission of documents for the design team, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Operate all printing and reproduction systems effectively.
- Import various document types into Revit projects with proficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest version of Revit software utilized by the department.
- Other duties as assigned.
