As an Intern Analyst within the National Markets team, you will gain invaluable experience in high-stakes environments where financial restructuring coincides with legal disputes. This role will provide you with hands-on involvement in contentious insolvency cases, collaborating closely with financial and legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
This internship presents a unique opportunity to delve into the intricacies of the financial advisory landscape and expand your professional network. You will collaborate with a highly experienced team and engage with some of the country's most prominent businesses. Your responsibilities will include supporting both insolvency and restructuring advisory engagements.
Throughout your internship, you will be expected to:
- Attend meetings, document notes, and summarize action items.
- Assist with client-related tasks under the guidance of senior staff.
- Enhance your understanding of industry trends and corporate strategies while working with experienced advisors.
- Be present at the office and client sites as necessary.
- Participate in business development initiatives.
- Conduct research on companies and target markets.
In Restructuring Advisory:
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and financial analyses.
- Support team members in data collection and research for ongoing projects.
- Handle general administrative tasks related to engagements, including preparing pre-appointment conflict checks, engagement letters, budgets, fee notes, and meeting preparations.
In Insolvency:
- Interact with appointees, appointers, directors, creditors, employees, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Draft correspondence, including emails, letters, and reports for third parties such as directors, creditors, and statutory bodies.
- Assist in investigations regarding the conduct of directors and analyze the reasons for insolvency.
- Familiarize yourself with statutory requirements and best practices as established by Interpath.
