Data privacy, or the protection of personal data, has become a critical issue for numerous companies, especially for those offering online services to clients and those whose digital strategy is deeply rooted in big data.
The increasing need to collect customer data and share personal information across various departments (such as customer service, marketing, etc.) and even with third parties is paramount for both attracting new clients and enhancing customer loyalty.
The importance of safeguarding sensitive information, including health data, lifestyle habits, and geolocation, has been underscored by the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the rise in data breaches (e.g., Equifax).
Do Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) solutions currently provide adequate responses to regulatory requirements for protecting personal data?
OBJECTIVES
The aim of this internship is to assist Wavestone in maintaining its market presence by focusing on personal data protection in the context of customer relationships.
Additionally, the role involves analyzing the risks associated with big data projects and developing a set of best practices to combat data theft and comply with regulatory constraints.
TASKS TO BE PERFORMED
Under the guidance of a consultant and the supervision of a manager, the intern may undertake some or all of the following tasks:
- Map data flows and processing concerning personal data
- Identify the impacts of the GDPR on identity and access management in customer relations
- Analyze the market to implement the benefits and limitations of CIAM solutions for compliance with current regulations
