Position Overview
We are in search of a dedicated Inventory and Purchasing Manager to take charge of our comprehensive inventory operations for our expanding collectibles division. This pivotal role involves leading our purchasing team, nurturing vendor partnerships, optimizing inventory levels, and establishing scalable processes to ensure a seamless flow of products as we grow.
You will collaborate closely with operations, product, and finance teams to guarantee that we have the right inventory available at the right time and cost, all while upholding high standards of organization, data quality, and operational efficiency.
This position is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, and we require the candidate to be onsite five days a week. Some travel to our headquarters in San Francisco and our warehouse outside the city is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the purchasing team while overseeing daily inventory operations across all collectibles categories.
- Establish and maintain essential vendor relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and uphold an approved vendor network.
- Design and implement scalable purchasing and inventory workflows, ensuring clear documentation for team reference.
- Ensure inventory data accuracy in our database and uphold stringent standards for data quality.
- Monitor inventory health through reports and dashboards to provide leadership with clear visibility.
- Leverage data to provide recommendations on what to purchase, when to acquire it, and how much to commit, in partnership with the finance team.
