YOUR ROLE
As the IT Infrastructure Manager at Vox Media, you will spearhead a dynamic team of IT administrators and engineers, ensuring the efficient management of our corporate IT infrastructure. This hands-on position is pivotal in driving key initiatives aimed at optimizing our hybrid environment, which encompasses SaaS platforms, on-premise systems, and cloud solutions. You will report directly to the Senior Director of Infrastructure and Information Security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a talented team of IT professionals, overseeing aspects such as recruitment, performance evaluation, mentorship, and technical skill development.
- Utilize your technical expertise to provide direct oversight and guidance on complex infrastructure implementations, system upgrades, and operational troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the director to strategize and evaluate products that can enhance organizational growth and reduce costs.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors related to network infrastructure, SaaS solutions, and security tools, including overseeing contract negotiations, renewals, and performance assessments.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams, particularly the Media Production Technology group, to assist in developing studio spaces for audio and video production.
