The Operations Division at KIPP Texas Public Schools is seeking dedicated individuals for a temporary internship opportunity. This role will provide essential support to our schools through various paths including Information Technology, Curriculum Warehouse, Student Recruitment, and School Operations. The internship will last between 1 to 3 months and will involve hands-on work directly within our school campuses.
Responsibilities of the IT Intern include:
Collaborating with team members to collect, image, refresh, and assign Chromebooks.
Facilitating the delivery, removal, and maintenance of Chromebooks, PCs, and other related peripherals.
Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks for device transportation.
Unboxing, configuring, and setting up Chromebooks for student use.
Cleaning computer equipment and peripherals to ensure optimal functionality.
Managing the assembly, disassembly, and cleaning of computer furniture as needed.
Performing hardware upgrades, including the replacement of components such as hard drives, memory, and video cards.
Disassembling and reassembling devices and power cords in Chromebook carts.
Imaging computers for deployment.
Conducting electronic filing and data entry in document management systems.
Updating and maintaining site inventory records.
Interacting positively with students, parents, and staff, fostering an encouraging environment.
Upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in all aspects of employment.
Adhering to school policies and the established chain of command.
Executing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Traveling between multiple school sites as required.
Being physically capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
