About the job
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Africa Health Collaborative program is a transformative multi-stakeholder partnership focused on enhancing primary healthcare systems in Africa. It involves nine higher education institutions and the Mastercard Foundation, aiming to empower youth to engage in meaningful work that transforms health and well-being across the continent through sustainable and contextually relevant healthcare systems.
This program is built upon three key pillars designed to create employment and self-employment opportunities in Senegal:
- Health Employability: Initiatives aimed at creating, developing, and sustaining formal employment opportunities for youth in health sectors, including qualification, job readiness, career support, networking, and policy advocacy to expand fiscal space and employment.
- Health Entrepreneurship: Initiatives fostering and supporting entrepreneurial culture in primary healthcare, including investments to promote entrepreneurship, private sector financing, and the development of small and medium enterprises within the primary healthcare system.
- Health Ecosystem: Investments aimed at strengthening global systems and institutions that provide policy, governance, and financial support essential for prioritizing healthcare economics.
Three main enablers will support these pillars:
- Digital Health: Digital tools for patients, community members, healthcare staff, and health system managers, including ICT systems and solutions.
- Financing: Integrated financing schemes for personnel, infrastructure, and supplies, along with access to funding from manufacturers.
- Capacity Building: Investments aimed at strengthening institutions and systems that provide essential services.
To implement this program, a digital solution has been developed for training community actors, with participant enrollment facilitated via a digital platform.
