DoorDash is innovating its internal supply chain services to enhance operational efficiency across various sectors, including IT, Merchant Operations, and Engineering. This centralized system aims to improve control, efficiency, and scalability in the procurement, storage, provisioning, and deployment of devices and technology assets.
The IT Warehouse Operations Manager will be instrumental in overseeing daily operations, fostering strong internal partnerships, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives to align services with the changing needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership
Manage the daily functions of the supply chain, which encompass procurement, logistics, warehousing, provisioning, and technology deployment. You will develop and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee consistency, compliance, and operational excellence. Additionally, monitor warehouse performance and address any operational challenges as they arise. - Stakeholder Partnership
Serve as the primary liaison between the supply chain team and various internal departments, including IT, Merchant Operations, Finance, HR, and Engineering. Collect business requirements, translate them into actionable operational plans, and ensure all stakeholders' needs are met through well-defined SLAs and measurable outcomes. Regular communication of service updates and performance metrics will be essential. - Process Optimization
Assess existing workflows to pinpoint inefficiencies and implement enhancements that minimize lead times, elevate order accuracy, and reduce operational expenses. Utilize technology solutions such as asset management systems (AMS) and analytics dashboards to streamline operations and support data-driven decision-making. - Vendor and Partner Management
Collaborate with external partners and vendors to optimize service delivery and ensure that standards are consistently met across all operations.
