This position is designed for a commercial specialist who will manage all conversations related to dollars and contracts within our established customer base. You will engage in live Zoom discussions with clients daily, addressing topics such as pricing, overages, upgrades, and contract terms. If you are not comfortable performing proration math during these conversations, this position may not suit you.Role OverviewAs a Commercial Renewal and Expansion Specialist at Whippy, you will take charge of all commercial discussions with our existing customers. Your responsibilities will include managing renewals, upgrades, downgrades, expansions, conducting proration math, creating contracts, addressing Stripe billing issues, and handling MSA paperwork. You will step in whenever a Customer Success Manager identifies an account that requires a commercial conversation. Your role is to introduce cross-sell opportunities during renewal discussions and to provide warm leads to the sales team. This is not a role focused on acquiring new clients or processing paperwork post-sale; you will be the key person on the call, executing calculations, proposing contract structures, and securing signatures.Success in this role necessitates strong commercial instincts, contract comprehension, the ability to maintain composure under pressure, and proficiency in real-time numerical reasoning. Candidates who struggle with customer frustration, have difficulty performing contract math during calls, or tend to escalate issues rather than resolve them will likely not thrive in this environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct commercial calls with existing customers, covering renewals, upgrades, downgrades, expansions, and billing discussions.Perform live contract math on customer calls, including proration, package comparisons, overage assessments, and credit reconciliations.Prepare and distribute contracts for existing customers, including amendments, renewals, and supersession agreements with prorated credits.Manage Stripe-related billing issues for existing customers.
