YOUR ROLE
As part of Scan.com's integration layer, your work will be crucial to our infrastructure. You will interface with numerous imaging centers and health systems that operate on outdated systems, including legacy RIS platforms and HL7 v2 feeds. On the demand side, you will connect with modern EHR APIs, third-party referral networks, and portal integrations that require reliable performance at scale.
In this role, you will design and build robust, observable, and extensible systems for demand-side connections. This area demands a true passion for system integration patterns, message transformation pipelines, and the operational rigor necessary to uphold high-reliability infrastructure in a complex real-world environment.
As a part of a scaling business, your responsibilities will evolve. Here are a few examples of what you might engage in:
Develop and maintain integration connectors for both modern and legacy EHR systems to access physician referrals and essential patient documentation.
Design fault-tolerant message queuing and delivery infrastructure for HL7 and API traffic both inbound and outbound.
Create and sustain REST API integrations with third-party referral sources, attorney platforms, and demand aggregators.
Oversee the observability layer for integration infrastructure, including structured logging and alerting for message processing issues.
