Coface is on the lookout for a proactive and skilled UK Data Specialist to spearhead the evolution of data sourcing, quality, and integration within the UK market. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and managing the UK DataHub/Digital Offer, enhancing data quality at the source, minimizing data costs, and empowering our business—particularly the Sales team—with dependable, well-governed data. You will work in close collaboration with regional and global data teams, IT, procurement, and UK data providers to ensure comprehensive, compliant, and value-centric data capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Quality, Governance & Source Management
- Enhance the quality of UK data sources through profiling, monitoring, cleansing, and remediation strategies.
- Establish and maintain Group data governance frameworks to guarantee compliant, secure, and high-quality data management in the UK.
- Define, operationalize, and uphold data matching rules, keying/linking strategies, and entity resolution to support multi-sourcing.
- Engage in ongoing discussions with UK data providers and assist in contractual negotiations (licensing, SLAs, usage rights).
- Gain in-depth knowledge of UK public and commercial sources (e.g., Companies House, HM Courts, CCJs) and integrate them effectively into the data ecosystem.
Business Impact & Enablement
- Design and oversee the UK DataHub/Digital Offer as the technical owner, ensuring it reliably supports analytics, BI, and downstream processes.
- Optimize the total cost of data (licensing, storage, compute, usage) and monitor the ROI of data investments.
- Assist Sales with high-quality datasets, insights, and technical pre-sales activities (e.g., data coverage checks, feasibility assessments, and demos).
- Convert business needs into technical designs for data acquisition, integration, and access, ensuring measurable business outcomes.
Stakeholder Management & Vendor Relations
- Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, and Compliance on evaluating data providers, contracts, and usage policies.
- Foster strong relationships with UK data providers; proactively manage changes (schemas, delivery methods, quality) and coordinate impact assessments.
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, setting expectations and prioritizing based on value, risk, and effort.
