Qualifications
A strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities, demonstrating high cultural competency.Proven ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.Familiarity with Indigenous Procurement Plans, Indigenous Participation Plans, and Reconciliation Action Plans.Working knowledge of Aboriginal Land Councils, Aboriginal Corporations, Native Title legislation, and First Nations procurement practices.Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.Experience in a medium to large corporate environment is advantageous but not mandatory.It is a genuine occupational requirement that the candidate identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, as per section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.

As the Lead for First Nations Strategic Pursuits within the Clients & Marketing team at AECOM, you will play a pivotal role in integrating First Nations expertise into our strategic initiatives. Your goal will be to ensure that AECOM's projects align with client requirements and are culturally informed, ultimately enhancing social value for First Nations communities.
Your role will involve maintaining cultural probity in your work and within the Strategic Pursuits Team, ensuring that all AECOM projects are respectful and appropriate for First Nations communities, consistent with best practices and external policies.
By working diligently to care for Country, you will facilitate the preparation of strategic pursuits and the delivery of projects that uphold cultural integrity and uplift the lives of the communities we engage with.
