Join AECOM's Clients & Marketing team as the Lead for First Nations Strategic Pursuits. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your First Nations expertise to enhance AECOM’s strategic initiatives, ensuring our projects are culturally informed and yield meaningful social value for First Nations communities.
Your primary responsibility will involve maintaining cultural probity within your own work and that of the Strategic Pursuits Team. You will ensure that AECOM’s projects are respectful, culturally appropriate, and comply with external policies and best practices.
By prioritizing care for Country, your efforts will contribute to the strategic pursuits and execution of projects that uphold cultural integrity and enrich the lives of the communities we serve.
This is a full-time, three-year fixed-term contract, with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide First Nations Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to enhance bid preparation and project execution, including insights on First Nations suppliers, recruiters, and training organizations.
- Uphold cultural probity, ensuring respect for First Nations intellectual and cultural property within AECOM’s workstreams.
- Advocate for First Nations perspectives throughout AECOM’s operations, aligning with our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) pillars.
- Develop and sustain strategic relationships with external stakeholders to further AECOM’s First Nations agenda through supply chain, training, and recruitment options.
- Stay informed on socio-political issues affecting First Nations communities to guide best practices.
