About the job
Influence the foundational learning journey of infants. At Guidepost Montessori, our Lead Infant Guides cultivate serene, nurturing spaces where infants are celebrated as capable individuals from the very start.
If you have a deep passion for early childhood development and aspire to guide a thoughtfully crafted classroom that encourages independence, movement, and exploration, we would be thrilled to connect with you.
As a Lead Infant Guide, you will oversee a mixed-age infant classroom (ages 0–3) within a Montessori framework intentionally designed to foster each child's natural growth and development.
In the Montessori approach, the environment and the guide collaborate to promote independence, curiosity, and confidence. You will carefully prepare the classroom, closely observe each infant, and deliver personalized care that respects their unique rhythms and needs.
Above all, you will assist infants in building trust in themselves and their surroundings, laying the groundwork for lifelong learning.
Your Responsibilities
- Observe each child to understand and support their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Respect and adhere to each child's natural rhythms for sleeping, eating, and toileting.
- Prepare and maintain an inviting, organized environment that encourages trust, movement, and exploration.
- Foster independence by motivating children to engage in care activities.
- Establish warm, meaningful relationships with children and their families.

- Lead and work alongside classroom team members to cultivate a strong, respectful community.
