Position Summary
As the Lead Quality Assurance Tester for Data & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the quality assurance strategy across our data pipelines, analytics platforms, and reporting systems. Your expertise will ensure that our data products uphold the utmost standards of accuracy, reliability, and compliance, thereby facilitating enterprise-wide decision-making and enhancing operational efficiency. A significant aspect of this role is to empower self-service analytics users throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive QA testing frameworks and policies for data ingestion, transformation, and visualization processes.
- Oversee test planning, execution, and automation for ETL pipelines, dashboards (e.g., Power BI), and analytics models.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product owners to establish quality standards and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and track data quality metrics, dashboards, and root cause analysis workflows.
- Mentor and guide junior QA analysts and engineers to foster their professional growth.
- Ensure adherence to internal data governance and external regulatory requirements.
Self-Service Analytics Support
- Define and enforce QA standards for self-service analytics tools and workflows.
- Collaborate with business users to verify data sources, metrics, and visualizations utilized in self-service reports.
- Create reusable test cases and validation templates for common self-service scenarios.
- Provide training and documentation to empower users to conduct basic QA checks independently.
- Audit self-service usage to identify quality risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Act as a bridge between centralized data teams and business units to ensure alignment on data definitions and quality expectations.
