About the Role
As the Technical Lead, Software Engineer at Boon, you will be instrumental in developing the product that delivers our AI capabilities to construction teams. Your work will span core product features and customer integrations, transforming models developed by our AI team into refined solutions that address genuine customer challenges. Our technology stack includes Ruby on Rails for the backend, React for the frontend, and Python microservices to support the platform.
A key aspect of this role involves managing customer integrations from start to finish. You will act as the technical liaison, collaborating closely with product managers and solutions engineers to comprehend customer systems, devise integration strategies, and implement solutions. Given that construction software often relies on outdated, Windows-only systems with limited modern APIs, your creative problem-solving skills will be essential. For instance, you might develop a desktop application to synchronize files from a customer's local environment or create other innovative solutions to bridge the gap between legacy and modern systems.
This position is a hands-on technical leadership role, where you will write code regularly while also guiding architectural decisions, coordinating efforts across teams, and mentoring fellow engineers. You will collaborate closely with other technical leads and a well-established engineering team to create a product that provides significant value to construction companies.
