Position Overview
We are seeking a Systems Engineer with a specialization in Low Observability (LO) Materials and Shaping. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of specialists to tackle complex defense challenges. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring our air vehicles meet critical survivability requirements through innovative material integration and structural shaping.
Daily Responsibilities
Develop radar cross-section (RCS) and infrared (IR) material concepts for air vehicles, integrating them into the overall structural design.
Create and implement a technology maturation roadmap for low observability materials and associated supplier components.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop RCS and IR concepts for parts such as antennas and EO/IR windows, initiating relevant development activities.
Oversee supplier and testing activities to ensure RCS and IR performance standards are met.
Coordinate with partners and suppliers to optimize air vehicle shapes iteratively, refining RCS and IR calculations.
