About the job
Empower toddlers to explore their identity and capabilities.
At Guidepost Montessori, our Lead Toddler Guides cultivate serene and purposeful environments where curiosity, independence, and self-confidence flourish daily.
If you are passionate about early childhood education and eager to lead a classroom that fosters exploration and independence, this is your chance to make a significant impact.
Your Role
As a Lead Toddler Guide, you will oversee a mixed-age toddler classroom within a thoughtfully designed Montessori environment that supports children through one of their most crucial developmental phases.
Montessori guides create beautiful, organized settings that encourage exploration and promote independence. By observing carefully, offering personalized lessons, and providing respectful guidance, you'll help each child enhance their language, coordination, self-regulation, and confidence.
Your leadership will enable toddlers to explore freely, make choices, and take pride in their achievements, laying the groundwork for lifelong learning.
What You’ll Do
- Closely observe each child to understand and nurture their physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Prepare and maintain a beautiful, organized classroom that encourages focus, independence, and exploration.
- Promote independence by encouraging toddlers to “do it themselves.”
- Conduct lessons in practical life skills, language development, and grace and courtesy.
- Establish warm, trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents to support each child's progress.
- Lead daily classroom routines and work with team members to foster a respectful, joyful community.
