About the job
Guide Young Minds as a Lead Toddler Teacher
At Guidepost Montessori, we empower toddlers to explore their identities and capabilities in nurturing, engaging environments. As a Lead Toddler Guide, you will create a calm, purposeful classroom where curiosity thrives, independence is fostered, and confidence blossoms every day.
If you have a passion for early childhood education and are ready to lead a classroom designed to inspire exploration and autonomy, this is your chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of young learners.
Your Role
In this position, you will guide a diverse group of toddlers in a thoughtfully designed Montessori setting that supports their development during a critical stage of growth.
The Lead Toddler Guide will create inviting, organized spaces that encourage exploration and independence. By observing each child's unique needs and providing individualized lessons and respectful guidance, you will help them enhance their language skills, coordination, self-regulation, and confidence.
Your leadership will enable toddlers to engage in free exploration, make informed choices, and take pride in their achievements, establishing the groundwork for a lifelong love of learning.
What You’ll Do
- Closely observe each child to understand and nurture their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Prepare and sustain a beautiful, organized classroom that promotes focus, independence, and exploration.
- Encourage toddlers to embrace independence by allowing them to “do it themselves.”
- Deliver lessons on practical life skills, language development, and principles of grace and courtesy.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents to support each child’s growth effectively.
- Lead classroom routines and work together with team members to cultivate a respectful and joyful community.
