About the Role
We are looking for a driven and meticulous Legal Assistant / Paralegal to assist our attorneys in various legal matters. This full-time, in-office role in Upland, CA, is perfect for someone who flourishes in a team-oriented environment and seeks to advance their career in estate law. You will play a critical role in client service and legal operations, managing tasks ranging from document preparation and research to court coordination and client communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including wills, trusts, pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and create legal memoranda
- Organize and maintain both physical and digital case files with precision and attention to detail
- Monitor deadlines, manage calendars, and ensure timely follow-up on case-related tasks
- Participate in depositions, assist with court filings, and liaise with court personnel as required
- Perform front desk/receptionist duties
- Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, and other involved parties
- Support estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters throughout the entire process
- Provide daily administrative support to attorneys during various case phases
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Possession of a paralegal certification, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Strong understanding of California legal procedures and terminology
- Exceptional communication and writing skills
- Highly organized with excellent document and time management abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools
- Able to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
