Your representation will extend to diverse audiences such as industry groups and strategic partners.
A deep understanding of national security policy and the federal budget process is essential, as is the ability to connect appropriations and authorization decisions to tangible program funding and business results. Recognizing that congressional priorities often emerge from staff interactions is key. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive Hill engagement strategy: establish relationships with policy staff, and work through leadership offices and Members.
Manage daily outreach to offices and committees: coordinate meetings, maintain relationships, and track office interests.
Oversee the Hill CRM system: ensure contacts are up-to-date, log interactions, track requests and follow-ups, ensuring no opportunities are missed.
Collaborate with our external lobbyist: align goals, share insights, set next steps, and maintain a cohesive understanding of office positions.
Create and maintain a Hill map: identify who influences whom and recognize areas of leverage and gaps for Radiant.
Prepare and distribute clear Hill materials: including one-pagers, requests, follow-up documents, talking points, and rapid response memos.
Advocate for appropriations and NDAA adds: identify sponsors, secure staff support, and rally coalition backing for funding and language inclusion.
Organize and execute Hill visits and facility tours: prepare for visits, manage the schedule, and ensure follow-up actions are established.
Ensure unified messaging across business development, leadership, and external partners to maintain consistency.
