The Team You’ll Work With:
The Office of Federal Affairs leads the City’s engagement with the Federal government and Congress. This team keeps the Mayor and city agencies updated on significant issues impacting the City and advocates on its behalf, serving as a liaison in Washington, D.C., between the City and other municipalities addressing federal matters.
The Problems You’ll Solve:
As a Legislative Representative, you will ensure that the Mayor and city agencies are well-informed about critical issues pending or affecting the City.
About You:
- You possess a deep understanding of the Federal legislative process and the workings of elected officials.
- You demonstrate experience with a combination of the following areas: the City legislative process, public policy analysis, operations within New York City and State agencies, and lobbying.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the New York City and State agency ecosystem, including legislative and operations processes.
