Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to become part of our expanding Syracuse team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments, including diagnostic interviews and standardized tests such as personality and IQ assessments.
- Create and implement personalized treatment plans informed by evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
- Deliver psychotherapy primarily within skilled nursing and long-term care environments, with the potential for community-based or outpatient work as preferred.
- Engage collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and educators to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate clients and their families on mental health, fostering awareness and resilience.
- Maintain precise, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and continuous professional development activities.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Psychologist in New York State.
- 1-2 years of supervised clinical experience; postdoctoral training is preferred.
- Proven ability to effectively engage with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
