About the job
As a Licensing Manager at Boskalis, you will embody the spirit of entrepreneurship. Your creativity and assertiveness will drive you to find innovative ways to execute our projects within the framework of laws and regulations. You are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously and possess a keen awareness of their status and priorities.
In your role, you will make a significant impact by executing multidisciplinary projects without delays or obstacles. You will oversee projects during the tender, planning, and execution phases, particularly concerning spatial-legal issues. Once a project is awarded to us, we are eager to commence work immediately—that's the Boskalis mentality.
You will stand out by implementing smart solutions. If obtaining a particular permit is taking too long, you will explore the possibility of working with partial permits. Your skills in stakeholder management will be crucial in this context.
You excel at building support among colleagues, clients, and authorities. You gather information proactively and engage easily with coworkers. The result? The realization of new nature reserves, such as the Marker Wadden, the fully CO2-negative N470 road, or the reinforcement of the IJsseldijk, which protects the habitats of both humans and wildlife.
Your Responsibilities as a Licensing Manager:
- You will be the main point of contact for both the tender and project organization, as well as the relevant authorities concerning permits.
- Manage the entire process: inventorying required permits, mapping out laws and regulations along with procedural timelines, establishing and maintaining contact with competent authorities, submitting and coordinating permit applications during the planning and/or execution phases, and ensuring (complex) permit conditions are upheld during execution.
- Proactively gather information from the project team to anticipate changes promptly. You will analyze the potential impact of changes and respond appropriately.
- Provide input for project planning, cost estimation, and risk and opportunity assessment.
- Contribute to building, managing, and sharing knowledge about laws and regulations, with a particular focus on the Environmental Act.
