Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Litigation Assistant to become part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage essential daily operations of the law firm, execute administrative tasks, and provide vital support to our legal team. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic, outstanding problem-solving abilities, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling hearings, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
- Maintain and update pleadings and discovery indexes.
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices efficiently.
- Enhance administrative processes to optimize workflow.
- Gather, analyze, and compile evidence and legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
- Draft and proofread legal correspondence and documents, including pleadings and contracts.
- Conduct legal research to support report preparation, case files, and legal advice.
- Oversee client billing processes, preparing and sending bills, and resolving any billing discrepancies with attorneys.
- Coordinate meetings, interviews, and depositions with clients and witnesses.
- Manage and maintain documents in both paper and electronic filing systems.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the firm’s objectives.
