CFGI is in search of a dynamic and driven Tax Manager to enhance our Flow-Through Tax Practice. This role requires an individual who is eager to tackle complex tax compliance and consulting projects that extend beyond traditional tax return compliance, including general tax consulting in the realm of M&A. The Tax Manager will engage directly with clients, often on-site, necessitating exceptional relationship-building capabilities. A comprehensive understanding of partnership taxation is essential, as well as strong project and people management skills. This position will report to the LLC SME Director.
Key Responsibilities:
· Review federal and state income tax compliance for partnerships, S-Corporations, and various private equity structures.
· Act as an outsourced tax manager or assist with restructuring efforts while working on-site for the duration of the project.
· Aid clients in project management and the implementation of new tax technologies and process enhancements.
· Support clients during M&A transactions, particularly in relation to tax due diligence.
· Provide clients with verbal and/or technical memos addressing tax issues tied to partnership taxation and tax reform.
· Possess knowledge of private equity-related tax adjustments, partner allocations, foreign filings, and other compliance obligations.
· Assist in planning and other specialized projects.
· Work directly with clients on-site.
