About the Role:
You will take charge of the entire machine learning lifecycle at ServiceUp, overseeing everything from initial exploration and model development to final production deployment and ongoing iteration. Collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams, you'll identify opportunities where machine learning can add value and convert model outputs into actionable features for our customers. As our first dedicated ML hire, you will play a crucial role in shaping our ML tools and infrastructure, with our current data stack comprising PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and Hex.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the development and expansion of our machine learning model portfolio, driving the process from conception to production.
- Establish success metrics and evaluation frameworks for each model.
- Implement ML models in production, ensuring real-time inference, monitoring, retraining pipelines, and phased rollouts using feature flags and guardrails.
- Construct and assess classifiers utilizing rigorous offline and online evaluation methods.
- Design and enhance feature engineering processes.
