Your Role and Responsibilities
In our quest to create home robots, we are addressing one of the most significant challenges in robotics: achieving dexterous and safe mobile manipulation in dynamic environments. This requires us to innovate across all levels of the robotics stack. By training advanced AI models that utilize our extensive, high-quality real-world data collection system, we aim to create a new category of consumer hardware that enhances everyday life. As a valued member of our small, dynamic team, you will significantly influence our technology and product development, advancing the field of embodied AI and ultimately restoring countless hours to our users.
As a Machine Learning Research Engineer, you will focus on developing the software and algorithms that empower our robots to perform complex manipulation tasks within home settings. You'll harness our unique in-the-wild data collection capabilities and our expanding fleet of robots to continuously enhance functionalities and robustness across various tasks and environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement cutting-edge robot learning algorithms for manipulation and control tasks.
Utilize large-scale real-world data to create adaptable robot behaviors.
Manage the complete process from task definition and data curation to model training, evaluation, and deployment on robots.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary robotics team to design a consumer-friendly personal robot.
Develop maintainable, high-quality code for both research and production environments.
Your Qualifications
3+ years of experience in machine learning focused on robotics or related fields.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
Expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models.
Familiarity with robotics frameworks and tools.
A passion for innovation and a collaborative spirit.
