Position Overview
As a vital member of our production team, the Machinist II will expertly set up and operate a diverse range of conventional machinery to effectively manufacture and repair both metallic and non-metallic components. This role demands a solid understanding of mechanics, precision shop mathematics, material properties, and machining methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Proficiency (Level II)
- Interprets and applies blueprints as well as Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
- Assists in the setup and calibration of machines.
Demonstrates the ability to utilize precision measuring instruments with minimal supervision.
- Conducts fundamental machining tasks and operates standard manual machines like drill presses, mills, and lathes, with guidance on repairs as needed.
- Familiarizes with and adheres to internal company policies, procedures, and established shop protocols.
