The Role:
As a Management Trainee, you will navigate through a comprehensive 4-phase program designed to immerse you in every facet of our business operations—from shipping and receiving to counter sales, operations management, and employee development. You will cultivate your own sales territory and deliver world-class customer service, supported by experienced managers and teammates across Canada to help you thrive in your management career at EMCO.
Program Outline: Spanning 3.5 to 4 years, you'll progress through four structured phases of the program.
Phase 1 (12 months): Warehouse and Customer Service – Develop in-depth product knowledge and hands-on experience with logistics while engaging in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory control, credit management, and financial statement analysis.
Phase 2 (12 months): Customer Relationships and Procurement – Transition from assisting customers to managing significant projects. Build relationships with clients and vendors while learning to interpret blueprint drawings for accurate material quoting.
Phase 3 (15-18 months): Account Management and Proactive Sales – Focus on business development by identifying new opportunities, selling products, and negotiating contracts to expand our customer base and cultivate level 5 partnerships.
Phase 4 (3 months): Leadership and Operations – Step into a leadership role by providing strategic direction, mentoring your team, and managing business operations while enhancing your leadership competencies.
By the end of the program, you will be fully equipped to tackle the responsibilities of a manager at one of our Canadian Profit Centers.
