- Take the lead in crafting, managing, and executing a comprehensive strategy for fundraising, marketing, and public relations in collaboration with the board of directors, staff, alumni, and local volunteers.
- Establish and update an engaging case for support; produce and refresh fundraising materials to enhance outreach efforts.
- Design, coordinate, and manage an annual giving program that encompasses signature fundraising events (such as A Night of Hope), direct mail appeals, digital fundraising campaigns, and the Friends of 2-1-1 initiative.
- Foster and expand essential partnerships with local universities, hospitals, and key organizations to bolster 211 Big Bend’s position as a critical community resource.
- Actively engage with communities across Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla counties to enhance regional awareness and create partnership opportunities.
- Support the board’s Fundraising and Advocacy Committee and participate in other relevant committees; attend board meetings as required.
- Assist in the creation and management of fundraising and marketing budgets.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and interns to aid in fundraising, marketing, and public relations initiatives.
- Enhance existing relationships with agency partners and proactively seek out new partnership opportunities.
- Offer administrative and operational assistance to the business office when necessary.
- Uphold the Code of Ethics for fundraising professionals and advocate for the Donor Bill of Rights as outlined by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
