Position Overview
Avery Dennison’s Global Communications team is on the lookout for a seasoned and strategic Manager of Global Communications. This pivotal role will spearhead internal communications for critical projects across our corporate functions and employee engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of employee and stakeholder audiences, demonstrate exceptional campaign development skills, and exhibit the capability to influence and manage multifaceted global communications initiatives. This position operates independently with a broad enterprise scope and high visibility among stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Functional and Change Communications: You will autonomously manage projects and workstreams, collaborating closely with the Global Communications Senior Manager and Directors to support internal corporate functions. This entails assessing communication needs, offering expert guidance, and executing comprehensive communications planning and deliverables for internal initiatives, including significant change communications tied to internal systems and digital transformation.
Content Strategy and Execution: Drive the content planning and editorial calendar for essential company-wide communications, such as global newsletters, values and ethics programs, and engagement activities. Oversee the creation and dissemination of high-quality communication materials, including emails, intranet content, FAQs, video scripts, and presentations through effective writing, editing, and creative direction.
Digital Workplace and Technology Communications: Formulate and implement communication strategies to enhance awareness and adoption of digital workplace tools and emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to elevate global productivity. Manage IT communications related to Mergers & Acquisitions to ensure smooth technology system transitions.
Intranet Development and Migration: Enhance the intranet presence by curating and overseeing engaging content focused on digital tools and functional initiatives. Play a vital role in intranet migration by partnering with global teams to audit and transfer content, acting as the content owner for all enterprise and corporate communications content.

- Reports to the Senior Manager, Global Communications.
- Dotted line reporting to the Director, Global Technology and Change Communications.
