What You Will Be Doing:As the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, you will spearhead the development and testing of prototype designs for Helion’s fusion generators. Your role will encompass solving a variety of impactful challenges that significantly influence the scalability and performance of our technology. You will also be tasked with recruiting and mentoring exceptional engineering talent, innovating manufacturing processes, and enhancing Helion’s innovation speed. Your leadership will define the design and operation of our prototype production lines, establishing benchmarks for delivering clean, low-cost, and dependable electricity globally. Key responsibilities include:Leading and nurturing a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers and technical writers, emphasizing professional growth and technical excellence through strategic hiring and scaling efforts.Overseeing intricate engineering projects, including upgrades to fusion prototypes and the development of new fusion test beds in alignment with Helion’s technical milestones.Managing large-scale initiatives by optimizing team staffing, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration to foster a culture of high-urgency execution.Driving enhancements in manufacturability and production rates by leading design modifications to capacitor modules and sub-assemblies.
