About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in the financial oversight of the UM Strategy team. Your primary responsibility will be to quantify and articulate the financial implications of all UM initiatives, ensuring that our strategic investments yield tangible and defendable outcomes in affordability. You will act as the key liaison between the UM business unit and the Medical Economics/Finance departments, overseeing the accurate sizing and monitoring of all investments.
You will report directly to the Director of UM Authorization Strategy.
Work Location: This position is fully remote, open to candidates based in Dallas, Texas. While this role is remote, please note that the approach to work may evolve over time, potentially introducing a hybrid model based on your local office hub. #LI-Remote
Pay Transparency: The base salary for this position ranges from $105,808 to $138,886 annually. In addition, you will enjoy a suite of employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, and opportunities for annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sophisticated financial models and lead the creation of robust methodologies to assess the impact of UM and affordability strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate savings goals.
- Act as the representative of the UM department in broader financial initiatives, ensuring that UM projects are prioritized and acknowledged within the corporate savings framework.
- Build and nurture strong collaborations with Medical Economics and Data Science teams to create validated approaches for tracking ROI.
- Maintain the “Source of Truth” for departmental value tracking, overseeing performance of ongoing initiatives, and generating monthly reports that compare projected savings to actual results. Develop strategies to assess actual performance against anticipated benefits.
- Establish and sustain strong relationships with leaders in Medical Economics, Data Science, and Clinical teams, translating complex data into clear, executive-ready narratives that drive enterprise-wide decision-making.
- Create data-informed frameworks to assist leadership in navigating strategic directions.
